The Ministry of Agriculture authorizes Morteros Tudela Veguín to manufacture and market a novel product
Morteros Tudela Veguín has recently received authorisation from the Ministry of Agriculture to manufacture and market a novel, lime-based product, for use in animal hygiene and husbandry.
The Ministry has in fact granted the company two authorisations: the first was a “Manufacturer’s Authorisation”, received in October, 2014, and the second was for the product BIOTUVE® Dry Comfort: received in December of last year. In accordance with Royal Decree 488/2010, both of these permits are compulsory for manufacturing and marketing animal health products.
In order to obtain these authorisations, Morteros Tudela Veguín had to submit a descriptive report, detailing the company’s activity and the product characteristics of BIOTUVE® Dry Comfort, a drying treatment for floors and bedding in stables for keeping livestock. This product reduces dampness and achieves more compact bedding, improving animal comfort and allowing for better hygiene conditions in animal housing areas by preventing infections and diseases caused by cold and damp. Furthermore, this product also reduces ammonia emissions released into the atmosphere, caused by the absorption of livestock urine, leading to better working conditions for farmers and animal handlers.
