The ASOCAS Industrial Safety Prize
The Association of Control and Similar Bodies of the Principality of Asturias (ASOCAS), in its 3rd Edition of Industrial Safety Prizes, whose objective is to promote the acknowledgement and value given in the area of the Principality of Asturias to both physical and legal persons committed to the promotion, transmission and implementation of good practices in the field of industrial quality and safety, awarded the prize in the category of organisations with less than 250 employees to Prefabricados Asturianos, S.A. (PREFASA).
In this line of the Industrial Safety Prize, the jury, made up by three members appointed by ASOCAS and a further three by the Council of Economy and Employment, valued the accomplishments obtained in the actions referring to integrated management within its professional responsibilities, made up by the administrative management, environmental care and protection and rigour in industrial quality and safety management. Likewise, the Industrial Quality and Safety encouragement activities in the areas of training, transmission and advertising were taken into account, together with the social acknowledgement of the labour activity carried out by the company and the innovations contributed to the sector from the point of view of Industrial Quality and Safety.
This prize was awarded on Thursday 19th January in La Reconquista Hotel, handed over by the company receiving that same prize in the 2nd Edition of the Prizes, in this case the person being the Financial Manager of Astilleros Gondán, Mr Luis Cotarelo, and collected by the General Manager of PREFASA, Mr Óscar García.
